Josh Manson of the Anaheim Ducks is a tough blue liner who isn't afraid to throw huge hits.
The Ducks reportedly made him available for trade during the NHL Trade Deadline, but Manson apparently scuttled a deal that would have sent him to Manitoba.
That probably didn't please the Jets, who have been looking for a right-handed defenseman for some time. After this season, he'll be an unrestricted free agent, earning $4.1 million.
He had seven points in 23 games last season as the Ducks missed the playoffs.
