Price and the Canadiens get a polite message from Robin Lehner
Vegas Golden Knights goaltender Robin Lehner was no doubt extremely disappointed after his team was eliminated Thursday night from the Stanley Cup Playoffs at the hands of the Montreal Canadiens, but he still took the time to show the class act that he is.
After the game Thursday night, Lehner went to Twitter to express his feelings on a great series and wished the Canadiens the best of luck in the Finals, but especially to Carey Price.
Congrats to @CanadiensMTL for a hell of a series. Best of luck in the finals. Tough loss tonight but proud of how hard everyone worked this season. We are right there. We will come back better. Thanks to all the people who has supported us this year. @CP0031 good luck too you.— Robin Lehner (@RobinLehner) June 25, 2021
Lehner also thanked all of the fans that have supported the team over the year, and said that they would come back better than they were this year. The Golden Knights have been contenders ever since entering the league, but they have struggled to take that extra leap in the playoffs and get back into the Stanley Cup Final after doing so in their inaugural season.
