Star defenseman for the Knights Alex Pietrangelo was asked about the Beijing Olympics. If you remember Alex was on the top 3 list alongside Sidney Crosby and Conor Mcdavid.
Here is his answer:
«There's a lot of things, especially guys with families, that we're taking a look at. I'm not going to make a decision until we get all the answers, because I think those are hard to come by right now.''
Bettman agreed to send players to Beijing after a long debate.
The International Olympic Committee has said that, "an athlete at the Games that tests positive for COVID-19 will need to produce two negative tests 24 hours apart. If they're unable to do so, the quarantine period could last from 21 days up to five weeks."
Pietrangelo then added:
«I've got four kids that are under the age of three and a half. For me to be potentially locked up there for five weeks plus the Olympics, that's a long time being away from my family.''
It absolutely makes sens for Alex to think family first. He is probably not the only one.
