The teams are now hosting a special auction including limited edition Jimmy Hayes jerseys. The New Jersey Devils' jerseys will all have "Broadway" sewn across the back, a tribute to Hayes' NHL moniker, and the number 10.
For the Chicago Blackhawks, the nameplate on the back will read "Hayesy," and if you've been following hockey for any length of time, you'll know how that nickname came about. The back of the Blackhawks jersey will read 39.
The fact that current Devils and Blackhawks players will sign the jerseys makes them very remarkable. Very proud of them. They all agreed to sign the jerseys for this charity auction.
