Mitch Marner, a Maple Leafs forward, has joined Matthews in calling for a more relaxed dress code.
"«I agree with (Matthews),» Marner told the Toronto Sun. «Express yourself. Maybe. Make sure the game on ice is the same."
Marner was also nice enough to suggest which Maple Leafs players would benefit the most and least from the new suggested adjustment. When asked who was the best dressed in the locker room, Marner chose Matthews. While that may not come as a surprise, finding out who the Leafs' worst dressed player was was hilarious.
Marner claims the accolade goes to veteran Maple Leafs defenceman TJ Brodie, mocking the 31-year-old in good fun.
