Eichel's injury has hampered both his career and the continuing trade attempts to get him out of Buffalo.
Interested clubs have lately signaled their readiness to make a move with the sort of surgery Eichel seeks. He prefers artificial disc surgery. The Sabres opposed the surgery since it had never been done on an NHL player..
According to ESPN, Eichel has been meeting with physicians to «gather medical views that back his choice for a disc replacement surgery.»
When the Sabres posted a pregame glance inside the dressing room, it was instantly observed that Eichel's stall had been removed, despite failing his physical and being out with a neck injury.
