When the season began, I'm sure there wasn't to many people that would have predicted the Montreal Canadiens would be dead last in the entire NHL right now.
Because of this season, Marc Bergevin is now gone and Habs new GM Kent Hughes has the job of trying to fix the Canadiens mess.
We have heard there's going to be changes as Hughes said. We have heard a lot of Ben Chiarot talk but the Canadiens have another defenceman that could be on the move.
That defenceman is Jeff Petry who's currently having the worst season of his NHL career. Petry came over to the Canadiens during the 2014-15 season in a trade with the Edmonton Oilers and has been one of the Canadiens' leaders ever since.
However, it's believed that Kent Hughes will ask Petry to waive his no trade clause. This could be beneficial for both the Canadiens who are looking to rebuild after this disastrous season, and Jeff Petry to get a change of scenery possibly to a contender.
