According to my colleague Jeff Drouin of Fanadiens.com, Norman Flynn recently appeared on Marinaro and made an unexpected comment about Cole Caufield.
Flynn proposed a deal with the Devils that would send the young American forward, along with a first-round pick to New Jersey in return for Nico Hischier, the very first pick in the 2017 draft.

Caufield was formerly a teammate of Jack Hughes, so pairing the two players could pay dividends for the Devils.

Despite a tough rookie season, he had some good playoff moments last year and fits perfectly into Kent Hughes' future plans.
Flynn also spoke poorly of two other Habs forwards, Jonathan Drouin and Mike Hoffman, stating they were more of a winning team's complement and that Kent Hughes wouldn't receive much in return for them.
