The Toronto Maple Leafs are rumoured to be using their long-term injury reserve to clear up cap space before the trade deadline and postseason.

Jake Muzzin, who was injured in a collision vs the Canadiens defenseman Chris Wideman on Monday, has concussion and may miss a long time, according to head coach Sheldon Keefe.
Expect Toronto to put him on LTIR, allowing GM Kyle Dubas to add more. If that happens, Sportsnet's Elliotte Friedman wants the Maple Leafs to trade for J.T. Miller.
«I think it'll be exciting for Dubas if he can utilize his LTI space on JT Miller train.»
