The National Weather Service issued a Hurricane warning for Tampa. With a little over 24 hours until game five between the Lightning and Canadiens, there's a possibility that the NHL could move the game to a different date depending on how the storm effects the Tampa area.
Tropical Storm Elsa is currently gaining strength, and is expected to make landfall on the west coast of Florida either tonight or the early hours of Wednesday morning. As the storm continues to make its way towards Florida, it's expected that it will become a category 1 hurricane.
As of Tuesday afternoon, the NHL has not made a comment on the status of game five. The league is hoping that the game can be played as planned, but as Elsa gains strength, they could step in and push the game, possibly to Friday when game six was scheduled to be played.
