Former Canadiens defenceman becomes a scout in Pittsburgh

The Pittsburgh Penguins have hired former Montreal Canadiens defenseman Greg Pateryn as a professional scout.
A Minnesota native, Pateryn played 290 career NHL games with Anaheim, San Jose, Colorado, Minnesota, Dallas and Montreal.
He recorded 44 points including five total goals.
At only 32 years of age, Pateryn played 35 games with the San Diego Gulls and 10 games with the Anaheim Ducks last season.
