DeBoer debating on his starter for Game 6 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs

In all seriousness, it'll be fascinating to watch if Vegas head coach Peter DeBoer sticks with Lehner in Game 6. After his mistake in Game 3, he made the hazardous decision to bench Marc Andre Fleury in favour of Lehner for Game 4. In Game 4, Lehner won to tie the series, but DeBoer went back to Fleury in Game 5, which led in a 4-1 defeat. Is DeBoer going to Lehner now that they're up against the wall?

DeBoer will appear like a genius or a fool in Game 6 regardless of who he chooses. You're a genius if you can win. You're the worst coach in the world if you lose. It's a difficult situation, but I honestly don't believe he can make the wrong decision. Fleury and Lehner have both been excellent this season, and most NHL clubs would not hesitate to put one of them in a Game 6 / Game 7 situation. Still, a decision must be taken, and it will be intriguing to see how things unfold between now and puck drop tomorrow night.

In 16 playoff games this season, Fleury has a 2.04 goals against average and.918 save percentage, while Lehner has a 3.97 goals against average and.877 save percentage in just two playoff games. If it's up to me, I'll dress Fleury. Perhaps I'm simply a purist, but I subscribe to the "dance with the girl you brought" attitude. Fleury has been fantastic in the postseason and was a contender for the Vezina Trophy during the regular season. In Game 6, I believe you must go with Fleury, for better or worse.
