As soon as the free agent market opened, forward David Perron agreed to terms on a two-season contract with the Detroit Red Wings.
Although he has played for five different teams, Perron has always been loyal to the Blues. This is the first time he has signed a contract with a team other than St. Louis.
While he is happy to be joining the Wings, Perron is disappointed with the way it ended with the Blues.
"It's like asking a childhood friend if he wants to go to dinner and he won't give you any room on his schedule." - David Perron
In 67 games last season, Perron had 57 points with St. Louis.
