During the popular podcast "Hockey Inside Out" Montreal Canadiens columnist and host Stu Cowen, and his panel discussed the potential of Shane Wright and if he's the right fit in Montreal. Habs new GM Kent Hughes has stated his vision of the Canadiens being a, "fast skilled offensive minded Hockey club."
Shane Wright would absolutely fit nicely in Montreal. With the Habs already having young Nick Suzuki locked up long term, Shane Wright would likely take 2nd spot for the Canadiens at center, with Jake Evans and Ryan Poehling rounding out their top four.
Shane Wright has shown some amazing skill he's a great two way center. Wright represented Team Canada at the recent World Junior Hockey Championships and looked solid during it, but didn't get to show his true potential with the tournament cancelled due to covid.
Shane Wright is having an impressive season with the Kingston Frontenacs of the Ontario hockey league, who are currently in 2nd spot in the Eastern conference. Shane Wright has 13 goals, and 22 assists for a total of 35 points, in 28 games with Kingston this season.
