According to Emily Kaplan of ESPN, there is a complicated situation taking place in Chicago as «interim GM Kyle Davidson is still in «evaluation mode,» and he and the front office haven't decided what their plan is for the team or Fleury.»

That suggests a deal is still possible. Kaplan says that the Blackhawks are open to any trade suggestions, despite the hurdles. No trades for Fleury, who has a ten-team no-trade list. He was persuaded to move and may not be open to moving again with a year left on his contract.
The Hawks would get a lot of calls if they knew the market for Fleury. Kaplan notes that the Edmonton Oilers were tied to Fleury:
«I've also had two people on a purely speculative basis suggest a Fleury-Oilers partnership would make a lot of sense. Again, Fleury would have to be on board, but the idea of him trying to chase a Stanley Cup in Canada with Connor McDavid and Leon Draisaitl is exciting.»
Maybe playing alongside McDavid and winning the Stanley Cup before retiring may persuade Fleury to be transferred again.
