Canadiens VP of communication tells a hilarious story of P.K. Subban and Carey Price
Chantal Machabée, Vice President of Communications for the Montreal Canadiens, was on TVA's Sucré Salé show with Patrice Bélanger.
She revealed her biggest project for the next season.
« I want the players to take French classes. I want them to be able to communicate in French. Am I going to have bilingual players in the next year? No. But do I have players who will be able to speak a little?
"I'll tell you an anecdote that Martin McGuire told me. One day, he met P.K. Subban and Carey Price in the elevator and they had bags in their hands. Martin leur dit en français : ''Ah vous avez fait du magasinage les gars!'' et P.K. Subban lui dit : ''Bonjour Martin! Oui, magasinage!'' et il se tourne vers Price et lui dit : ''Regarde, moi je parle français!''. And Price answers: "What do you have in his bag P.K.? Carey burst out laughing and Martin couldn't believe it. »

Obviously, Machabée does not want the players to become bilingual, but if they could say a few words in French, that would be a minimum.
