Gabriel Landeskog didn't play a single game in the 2022-23 campaign, and unfortunately, it now appears the 2023-24 campaign will follow suit.

Landeskog to Miss 2023-24 Campaign

Landeskog, who's served as Avalanche captain for the past 11 years, will undergo a cartilage transfer surgery, and will this miss the entire 2024 season injured.

Colorado Avalanche captain Gabriel Landeskog will undergo a cartilage transplant in his right knee on May 10. The surgery will be performed by Dr. Brian Cole at the Rush University Medical Center in Chicago. The 30-year-old forward is expected to miss the entire 2023-24 season.

This is crushing news for the team and for Landeskog, as their hopes of winning another Stanley Cup with this group seems to to have taken a major hit.

Hopefully Landeskog will recover and make a triumphant return to the league for 2024-25.
