William Nylander had his big moment in Game 6 against the Boston Bruins. Before the game, he had a chat with TNT analyst Paul Bissonnette, who asked him about getting the power play going.
Then Biz joked, "Maybe you'll get one or a couple?" Well, Nylander took that challenge and ran with it, scoring twice and proving why he makes $11.5 million in the Leafs' 2-1 win, forcing a game 7.
With Auston Matthews out since the third period of Game 4, the Leafs needed someone to step up, and Nylander delivered. Now, all eyes are on him to do it again in TD Garden on Saturday as the Leafs aim to beat Boston in a series for the first time since 1959. It's no small feat, especially considering the Leafs' less-than-stellar track record in Game 7s in Beantown, where they're 0-3.
So, buckle up, hockey fans. Game 7 is going to be one we will remember for a while with the losing side sure to have some significant changes likely coming in the Summertime to each teams core.
