Maple Leafs Head Coach Ejected After Controversial Call

Last night Toronto Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe was ejected after arguing a call made by the referees. Keefe after being ejected continued to debate with the referees on his way to the locker room.





Shortly after the ejection TSN analyst who was calling the game Mike Johnson was shocked that Keefe had been ejected. Earlier in the night Johnson himself had complained about the officiating and suggested a plan of action the the Maple Leafs.

Just a few minutes before Sheldon Keefe was ejected from the game TSN analyst Mike Johnson addressed the controversial officiating. Johnson in a joking manner suggested that the Maple Leafs should start diving to receive a make up call from the referees.



This is a wild scenario not seen often in professional sports. Generally, announcers are trained to be as impartial as possible. Johnson's comments show just how atrocious the officiating had gotten throughout the night that he broke that training.
