Toronto Maple Leafs unveil both lineups for split-squad preseason games against the Canadiens

Tonight, the Toronto Maple Leafs are taking on the Montreal Canadiens in two split-squad preseason games, and the team has just unveiled the lineups.

After a long offseason, the Toronto Maple Leafs are finally back on the ice for NHL preseason action. However, due to a shortened preseason, the team's schedule is a bit more condensed than fans are typically used to.

So much so that they are playing two games simultaneously tonight. Both games are against the Montreal Canadiens. One of which will take place in Toronto, the other in Quebec. Just moments ago, we received the lineups for both games.

As you can see below, the lineup for the Leafs' game in Toronto contains some of the team's best players. Auston Matthews, Gavin McKenna, Matthew Knies, and even John Tavares will all be part of this lineup.

Meanwhile, it was previously revealed that the goaltender for tonight's game would be Sergei Bobrovsky. Anthony Stolarz is also on the lineup sheet, so expect him to get some playing time as well, though Jim Hiller has yet to mention how the split between the two will go.

On the defensive side, Darren Raddysh will be out there with guys like Emil Andrae, Marshall Rifai, Ben Danford, and even Chris Tanev.

Meanwhile, the lineup playing in Quebec is going to be comprised of prospects and players typically found further down the Maple Leafs lineup.

This is especially apparent when you look at the goaltending situation, with Artur Akhtyamov getting the start, with Ken Appleby and Samual Hlavaj behind him.

Nick Blankenburg will be someone to watch out for tonight, especially since he is a guy who was recently signed to a professional tryout.

Daniel Alfredsson will be the head coach behind the bench for the Leafs in Montreal. Jim Hiller will take the reins in Toronto.
