After a win against the Nashville Predators on Tuesday, the Toronto Maple Leafs neglected to do something that they had already done dozens of times before.

Last night's win against the Predators was a triumphant one for the Toronto Maple Leafs. They scored five goals, which is their best offensive showing so far. Gavin McKenna got his first NHL goal and assist, while Auston Matthews had the game-winner and four points.

However, after the game, fans and reporters noticed something different about the team's celebration, which extended over to social media.

As Rob Wong noted on X, the Leafs did not post a video from inside the locker room, which is something they had been doing for years.

For many years the Maple Leafs would put out a short video on social media after wins showing the celebration in the dressing room (handing out the belt, etc.), but so far this year...there's nothing. Guess that's no longer going to be a thing.

This was done under the Sheldon Keefe and Craig Berube regimes. Under Jim Hiller, it is no longer being done, and fans have some questions.

So why did the Maple Leafs stop?

The Toronto Maple Leafs have not confirmed why they have made this change. There is also a chance that this practice comes back on social media before the end of the season.

However, considering how things went last season, it stands to reason that the Maple Leafs would want to just focus on hockey and leave the extracurriculars at home.

Furthermore, rookie Gavin McKenna is playing his first NHL games, and one could see a world in which the Leafs are just trying to protect him from extra scrutiny.

At the end of the day, this change affects the fans in the sense that they won't get to see the behind-the-scenes. That said, it does not affect the on-ice product.

The Maple Leafs are now 2-2-0 this season, and that's what needs to be focused on as the offense finds its chemistry.
