Former Toronto Maple Leafs players Dryden Hunt, Connor Mackey, and Anthony Richard were placed on waivers Tuesday in a new batch of assignments.

It's past 2PM so that means that a new batch of waiver assignments are on the books for NHL teams as they thin their roster ahead of the regular season.
Everyone who was placed there on Monday has clearedd and teams are free to do what they need to in order to give them a chance to succeed either at the NHL or AHL level.
But today's group brought three former Maple Leafs to the wire in Dryden Hunt, Connor Mackey, and Anthony Richard.
They join other names like Tyson Jost and Ryan Suzuki who also joined the waiver wire on Tuesday.
Hunt, 29, spent last season with Calgary and played in five games with three assists. The eight-year veteran has 235 career games with 18 goals and 54 points.
He spent nine games with the Maple Leafs in 2022-23 and had one goal.
Mackey, 29, spent last year with Hartford of the AHL, and has 11 points in 42 career NHL games with Calgary, Arizona and the New York Rangers.
He never played with the Maple Leafs but did spend time with the Marlies briefly but never played as well.
Richard, 28, also spent last season on Lehigh Valley in the AHL, and was drafted 100th overall by Nashville in 2015.
He has 14 points in 39 career NHL games with Nashville, Montreal, Boston, and Philadelphia.
While it's unlikely that any of these players are claimed as rosters are being thinned as opposed to bulked up, there's a chance they could sign another AHL deal.
Teams will have until 2PM on Wednesday to put in a claim for any of the waived players.
