After a strong two seasons with the Vancouver Canucks, experienced coach Mike Yeo and the team have officially parted ways, reportedly due to Yeo's desire to seek opportunities elsewhere.
Unsurprisingly, he's already been linked to new opportunities, especially with Craig Berube taking over as the boss behind the bench for the Toronto Maple Leafs. The two have history, serving on the Blues staff together before it was Yeo that was fired, leading to Berube taking over and leading the team to a Stanley Cup.
Now, the connection has been made, with a Maple Leafs writer expressing that Yeo could be a genuine candidate to once again be on the same staff as Craig Berube, this time in Toronto.
It's unclear if this is the job Yeo was looking for when he expressed his desire to leave Vancouver, but given his relationship with Berube, it wouldn't be a shock if he was on this staff when the 2024-25 season begins.
