According to Elliotte Friedman, the Toronto Maple Leafs have set their asking price on Bobby McMann and it's clear they are trying to maximize his value.

As the Toronto Maple Leafs look to make a decision to buy or sell heading into the Olympic break, there has been one player who gotten the brunt of the focus, that being Bobby McMann.
Coming off a strong 2024-25, he's done even better this season and is on pace to set new career-highs in points, goals and assists; not to mention he's added 126 hits and some ridiculous speed to go along with it.

Toronto wants maximum value for Bobby McMann: Report

He's getting a lot of attention for good reason, and there have been several rumours floating around that the Edmonton Oilers were heavily interested in McMann, with the potential for several draft picks as well as Andrew Mangiapane.
Toronto would love to get as much as they can for McMann, and according to Elliotte Friedman they are expecting a huge haul for the forward that includes a first-round pick:
I think they're asking for a 1st rounder for Bobby McMann; now do you get it, I don't know.
While it's certainly not guaranteed the team gets a first-rounder but the Oilers just saw how impactful McMann can be, if they want to maximize their time with Connor McDavid; they may decide to splurge.

If Toronto is offered a first, they have to jump at the chance

That's great news for Toronto, who could use as many assets as possible and the chance to get multiple draft picks on top of an NHL-ready player is pretty impressive for essentially one and a half seasons of McMann.
Granted, the team never anticipated being in this position however faced with the reality of the situation they need to make sure they have some direction. The two parties are split on an extension, and while Toronto should try to keep him -- there are way more options available if they get assets.
It looks like Brad Treliving at least learned from his mistakes a little bit and is trying to recoup his losses after trading them away at the deadline last year.
If he can turn McMann and other players into a bounty of assets then it'll at least be a nice parting gift if the team decides to have a new voice run things in the future.
