The Toronto Maple Leafs are set to play in a winner-take-all all Game 7 against the Boston Bruins tonight. This afternoon Maple Leafs head coach Sheldon Keefe addressed the availability of star forward Auston Matthews.

This afternoon Auston Matthews participated fully in practice for the first time since leaving earlier in this series against the Boston Bruins. Today Sheldon Keefe spoke to the media and said while the progress is encouraging they are preparing as they have for the last 2 games.

Sheldon Keefe says there's no determination yet on the status of Auston Matthews

But Leafs coach says the forwards who have been in the series so far are all preparing to play

In a subsequent question on the status of Auston Matthews for Game 7, Sheldon Keefe seemed to indicate that Matthews is likely to miss a third straight game: "As of right now, we're proceeding as we've been."

This is the first time since he has been injured that Auston Matthews will be a true game-time decision. As of now, the Maple Leafs have not ruled him out for tonight. This means tonight's warmups will be the biggest indicator of his availability unless an insider gets private information first.

Once a determination is made on the status of Auston Matthews we will provide you with the latest update.
