The Toronto Maple Leafs' biggest question mark when it comes to their roster remains on their blueline. While they are continuing to look for reinforcements on the trade market, they are facing an interesting conundrum with their current roster, as both Mark Giordano and Connor Timmins are set to make their returns to play soon.
While neither defenseman made his return last night against the Buffalo Sabres, we may see Timmins make his return tonight, especially considering he is a right-handed defenseman.
We already saw some difficult decisions be made by Sheldon Keefe when Calle Jarnkrok returned to the lineup, sending Nick Robertson down to the Marlies, even though he didn't play for them, since he is waiver-exempt.
Now, with several players returning to full health, another difficult decision will have to be made by Keefe. That is, unless Brad Treliving is able to work some magic in the next few days and work a trade.
