Tuesday's practice brought a bunch of new questions as several Maple Leafs were swapped around and the lineup still remains unfinished for head coach Craig Berube.

It was a puzzling scene on Tuesday morning as the Maple Leafs took practice, as several key players including Easton Cowan were all seen dressed in extras jerseys, a sign they might be a potential future healthy scratch.

Considering that all three men played yesterday against Pittsburgh, it was clear that Craig Berube wanted to make a change.

But in a sign of positivity, the team did see the return of both Scott Laughton and Steven Lorentz in regular jerseys, as well as Matias Maccelli, who was a healthy scratch on Monday.

That means the lineup is going to look a lot closer to what is was expected to be when the season was about to open up, and it looks like we are getting a fairly deep lineup with those returns:

Knies - Matthews - Nylander
Robertson - Tavares - McMann
Joshua - Roy - Maccelli
Lorentz - Laughton - Domi
Extra, Cowan, Blais, Jarnkrok

Mermis - Rielly
Benoit - McCabe
OEL - Myers
Absent: Carlo

Primeau
Woll
Absent: Stolarz

It's a sign that Berube is still tinkering with the lineup but the current play of guys like Robertson has necessitated some more maneuvering.

But it is a bit strange that Maccelli is already back in after Bobby McMann came in and helped out swimmingly on the third line Monday, and perhaps it was a case of playing bigger against Pittsburgh as opposed to a struggling Maccelli.

Also of note, both Brandon Carlo and Anthony Stolarz were absent from practice although considering the effort both men put in last night; a rest day is well warranted.

Toronto will get a chance to display their new lineup as they take on the Utah Mammoth on Wednesday night at home.
