Nikita Zadorov's agent takes a shot at the Bruins and praises the Leafs at the same time

Boston Bruins defenseman Nikita Zadorov is represented by Dan Milstein, who just so happens to be the agent of Toronto Maple Leafs star Kirill Marchenko.

After being issued a double minor, Boston Bruins head coach Marco Sturm decided to suspend 31-year-old defenseman Nikita Zadorov for one game.

It was a controversial decision, although given Zadorov's history and propensity for racking up penalty minutes, it shouldn't be all that surprising.

However, some fans were upset, and immediately started making snide comments about the Boston Bruins organization. One of those fans even tagged Zadorov's agent, Dan Milstein, claiming the Leafs would never treat him that way.

This led to an equally snide response from Milstein, who suggested quite plainly that the Leafs organization would treat his client with more respect.

No he would not…

It's the kind of comment that can get your client into quite a bit of trouble. Although two days later, the comment remains posted on Milstein's X account for all to see.

Not Milstein's first rodeo

If you remember Milstein did the same thing when Andrew Raycroft claimed Kirill Marchenko came to Columbus Blue Jackets camp completely out of shape.

This led to a not-so-kind response from Milstein, who said that Raycroft was irrelevant and that he had no idea what he was talking about.

Needless to say, Milstein has connections to the Toronto Maple Leafs, and so far, he feels as though the franchise is treating his other client with respect. We also know that the man will put his reputation on the line to defend those he represents.

Will the Leafs make a push for Zadorov?

These comments from Milstein are raising eyebrows, especially with the Maple Leafs looking to upgrade their blue line.

While a 6'7", 244-pound behemoth is certainly tempting, it remains to be seen whether or not the Maple Leafs actually believe Zadorov is someone they want on the roster.

For now, it appears as though they are more focused on guys like Simon Edvinsson and Nikita Zadorov.
