Game 7 is minutes away, as the Toronto Maple Leafs prepare to fight their way into the second round against the Boston Bruins.

After falling down 3 to 1 in their series against the Boston Bruins, the tides turned, and they were able to claw back their way into a tie. This incredible effort has led them to game 7, which they have historically had trouble with.

With this series' order (notable Boston win, followed by a Toronto win, followed by two more consecutive Boston wins, a Maple Leafs comeback, and a loss in game 7) exactly mirroring their 2013 and 2018 first round losses, a lot needs to go right for the Toronto Maple Leafs tonight.

Unfortunately, the NHL and commissioner Gary Bettman have chosen to assign referee Kelly Sutherland to tonight's game against the Boston Bruins, despite his longstanding history of bias against the Maple Leafs.

DID YOU KNOW: The Bruins have defeated the Maple Leafs in Game 7s in 2018 (7-4) & 2019 (5-1), with refs Wes McCauley and Kelly Sutherland in stripes for both. Sutherland's back for tonight's Game 7

Toronto Maple Leafs fans are expectedly furious about this decision, as it gives them a disadvantage they do not deserve.

However, this decision will be weighed out even by the return of franchise star Auston Matthews.

Who do you think will make it through to the second round?
