A new angle from Thursday's game shows Joseph Woll trying to stretch out his apparent lower-body injury only minutes before leaving the game in the third period.

Although the Toronto Maple Leafs won their third straight game on Thursday, it did come at a cost as they lost goaltender Joseph Woll to an apparent lower-body injury, and the team has not indicated exactly what went wrong or how long he will be out for.
It's a huge blow to a team who was just getting things sorted out, and are now down their two everyday starters, having to rely on Dennis Hildeby for the time being, and and for now it remains unclear how the organization will want to support Hildeby if Woll is out longer-term.

What the new camera angle actually shows before Joseph Woll leaves the game

It's concerning nonetheless however some footage shows that Woll had been dealing with an injury near the end of the second, and TSN's cameras caught him trying to stretch it out.
Kudos to Woll for sticking it out through the rest of the period, but you can see him trying to work out something in his left leg.
The Maple Leafs have only called it a lower-body injury, so the speculation is sure to run wild in regards to not only the extent of his injury, but the timeline for his return.
Toronto has often kept injury details vague this season, which makes situations like this even more frustrating for fans looking for clarity.
Woll has been stellar this season after returning from a leave of absence. Though it took a couple of games for him to find his stride, he's been rock solid.
In eight starts, he has a 4-3-1 record with a 2.44 GAA and .923 SV% while also providing Toronto with game-changing saves night in and night out.
It's certainly a situation that neither the Maple Leafs nor their fans want right now, especially with a crucial slate of games in front of them starting on Saturday vs. Montreal.
And it also leaves a lot of questions about Toronto's goaltending situation, and the real gravity of the situation will settle in when/if the team decides to give us an update.
