Mitch Marner was the hero for Team Canada in the opener of the 4 Nations Face-Off, and post-game he was asked quite a difficult question.

Canada won backed by a vintage performance from Sidney Crosby, and the heroics of Maple Leafs forward Mitch Marner -- who scored the OT winner.
During the postgame scrum with the media, Marner was asked what his most memorable goal ever was, beyond the winner on Wednesday.
Taken back by the question, Marner had to do some quick thinking in order to generate a response.
For the Maple Leafs this season, Marner has 16 goals and 55 assists in 54 games and has been unquestionably the team's MVP.

Mitch Marner's Memorable Goals: A Brief Rundown

But Marner has scored 194 other goals with the Maple Leafs -- which ones are some of his best?
Let's take a look.

Magic Mitch's Backhanded Beauty - vs. Vegas Golden Knights (2021-22)

The first one we're going to look at was against Vegas in 2021-22. It shows a part of Marner we often forget -- how dangerous he is in close. With his silky smooth hands, Marner took a pass from John Tavares, spun around the Vegas defense and backhanded it into the cage.

It was a thing of magic from Marner, and just one of the many highlight reel goals the Maple Leafs forward has scored in his career.

19 Games In A Row! - vs. Tampa Bay (2022-23)

The second goal we're going to look at is Marner's record-setting goal against Tampa Bay in 2022-23 -- a great year all around for the Leafs. This particular goal was one that gave Marner sole possession of the Maple Leafs point-streak record.
Not as technically savvy as the previous goal, the memory attached to the goal has to be up there in the mind of Marner as one of his best.

The goal helped Marner surpass Daryl Sittler and ended at an incredible 23 games.

The One That Started It All - vs. Boston Bruins (2016-17)

Here it is -- the one that kickstarted his career. Scoring against goaltender Anton Khudobin, Marner simply skated into the offensive zone and wired a wrist shot about halfway between the slot and the blueline. Was it flashy? No. Was it memorable? Darn right.

It also started Marner's tear against the Bruins -- he has 11 goals and 33 assists in 27 games against Boston although that hasn't translated into any playoff success as of yet.
But it was the first of many goals in a highlight reel career and if he keeps playing at the pace he is this season? Well then he's really just getting started.
