Toronto Maple Leafs forward Max Domi recently failed his physical and was expected to make some kind of statement, although he has gone ghost instead.
The fallout from Max Domi's offseason surgery has not been positive. Outlandish reports about Domi not being able to walk became frequent throughout the summer.
During the month of August, Domi appeared to be getting better, but nowhere near playing shape. This was confirmed on September 16 when the forward failed his preseason physical with the Maple Leafs.
The team subsequently announced that Domi was going to be out indefinitely. With opening night rosters to be announced soon, it is expected that Domi will be placed on the Long-Term Injured Reserve.

However, there are still some concerns surrounding Domi, and Maple Leafs fans cannot help but pay attention to what is going on here.
It was reported that Domi wanted to talk about his injury himself. He would take back the narrative and give the fans a realistic view of what happened to him.
The problem with this is that it has been 10 days since Domi failed his physical, and he has gone radio silent in Toronto. We have not heard a single word from the forward, and fans are starting to get a bit worried.
While Domi isn't ghosting the team or the fans, his silence is still creating more speculation, and it is allowing the fans to spiral out of control as they try to figure out what is going on.
Domi's injury remains a huge mystery, and when you consider his $3.75 million per season salary, it is easy to see why Leafs Nation would want a few answers to their questions.
Is Max Domi done in Toronto?
What makes all of this more complicated is the fact that prior to his injury, there were some concerns that Domi might not be the player the Leafs need anymore.
With a new GM and head coach taking over, players like Domi are under the microscope. However, if he is on LTIR, then the Leafs can't trade him. Instead, they have to keep him and hope that he is able to recover and get back to being a productive player.
Ultimately, Domi's future in Toronto is uncertain, and there is no telling what is next for him. However, if one thing is certain, it is that this Domi injury could not have come at a worse time.
Do you believe Max Domi is going to play for the Toronto Maple Leafs again?
