A new interaction on Instagram involving Max Domi and his fellow Toronto Maple Leafs teammate Joseph Woll seems to indicate Max Domi's desire to stay in Toronto.

Max Domi signed with the Toronto Maple Leafs last offseason to continue his family's legacy with the team. His father Tie Domi was an enforcer for the Maple Leafs for many years. Max Domi came in hoping to bring a Stanley Cup to the city he grew up in.

A new era begins in Toronto after disappointing playoff loss

Unfortunately, the Toronto Maple Leafs would fall short in the playoffs losing in Round 1 to the Boston Bruins. This disappointing end led to major changes within the organization including the hiring of new head coach Craig Berube.
With Max Domi only being on a one-year contract many have wondered how this coaching change would impact his future with the team. Throughout the season there had been talks of an extension but since the season had ended no such chatter has been had. Recently a social media interaction might have given some insight on the situation.

Max Domi's social media post might indicate an extension is coming

Since their loss to the Boston Bruins most of the Toronto Maple Leafs players have remained silent on social media. However, in recent days goalie Joseph Woll posted a thank you to the fans and said he was looking forward to next season.

Just a short time later Joseph Woll got a surprising response from one of his teammates Max Domi.

While this is not concrete evidence that Max Domi is returning to the Toronto Maple Leafs it is encouraging. If he were locked in on being a free agent and leaving Toronto he likely wouldn't be interacting with teammates on social media.
As free agency approaches on July 1st his situation will be one of the most important to watch for the Maple Leafs.
