Max Domi Fires Up Leafs Nation with Passionate Quote Heading Into the Playoffs

All the hype around the Toronto Maple Leafs this season has certainly been lived up to (well for the most part). A new vision behind the bench, a revamped blue line and a historic goaltending tandem have made a strong playoff push more than just a pipe dream.

Everyone is gearing up for a tough battle regardless of who they face, and the atmosphere at Scotiabank Arena has to match the energy that the Maple Leafs are going to bring.

Which is why Max Domi has a big favor to ask of Leafs Nation.

After clinching home-ice advantage for the first round of the playoffs, the veteran forward gave Leafs fans essentially, an ultimatum:

It's been a sore spot for the team all season. A lot of flak has been given towards Leafs fans for not bringing the energy needed and instead of an intimidating atmosphere for opponents, it creates an echo chamber of passionate fans stuck in the 500 section who can't really make a difference.

The crowd effect is real, and if a passionate bunch of fans can come together, it not has the potential to rattle the opposition, but motivate the Maple Leafs and show them that the fans are their sixth man and can make a difference especially in critical moments.

Toronto is in the best possible spot for a deep playoff push since the Auston Matthews era began, and their resilience through their many injuries is a testament to how much better this team is now compared to previous seasons.

There's a real buzz in the air for the Maple Leafs this season, and though it's been a bit wonky at times, it feels like this group is ready to take charge and fend off anyone who comes their way.

But they need the crowd to help out, because a their silence will ring louder than any chants possibly could.
