Mats Sundin is a Leafs legend, but it appears his next chapter in the NHL will be with another team.

He has now joined a potential ownership group.

Mats Sundin Joins Potential Senators Ownership Group

Mats Sundin played thirteen seasons in Toronto. He was their captain for a decade, and he will forever bleed blue and white.

However, reports indicate that he will be part of a potential ownership group for the Ottawa Senators.

The Ontario rivals are looking at a deal upwards of a billion dollars, and Sundin serves as the hockey advisor for the wealthy Torontonian Kimel family.

On the Coming in Hot podcast, former TSN personality Brent Wallace shared this news:

I did hear the Kimel family their hockey advisor is Mats Sundin... So are Sens fans okay with Mats Sundin if he were to be part of the Ottawa Senators organization?

This would rock Ontario to its core, as Mats Sundin brings new life to Ottawa, and a new rivalry to the team he called home for a decade.
