With Nikita Kucherov reportedly putting the Toronto Maple Leafs on his potential trade list, blockbuster trade proposals are surfacing all over social media.

At this stage, it is unlikely that the Toronto Maple Leafs actually make a trade for Nikita Kucherov. In fact, it is likelier that they sign him in free agency with a fresh injection of cash from the salary cap jump.

That said, there are some accounts on social media that are enjoying their right to fantasize. Numerous trade proposals are hitting the timeline, and we found one that folks are particularly interested in.

Kirill Marchenko for Nikita Kucherov

In this trade proposal, the Toronto Maple Leafs send newly acquired forward Kirill Marchenko to the Tampa Bay Lightning.

Additionally, they include Ben Danford, Dakota Joshua, and a 2027 first-round pick in the package. It's a bold move with lots of assets being shifted to Florida.

Lighting receive:

- Kirill Marchenko
- Ben Danford
- Dakota Joshua
- 2027 1st Round Pick

Maple Leafs receive:

- Nikita Kucherov

Quite frankly, it is hard to see the Maple Leafs doing something like this, especially with what they gave up to get Marchenko in the first place.

The team also needs a defenseman, and that first-round pick is best used on a player who will serve their immediate needs on the blue line.

Ben Danford is also an intriguing prospect that the Leafs most likely aren't looking to give up right now. As we explained, they need to get younger on the blue line, and Danford helps in that pursuit.

The only player who makes sense in the deal is Dakota Joshua, who the Maple Leafs don't seem particularly keen on these days.

Again, this is a trade proposal that is a pure work of fantasy. If you think anyone is doing this, we have beachfront property on Mars to sell you.
