The Toronto Maple Leafs have scheduled nine 'Remix Nights' at Scotiabank Arena, and the team's promise to 'go back in time with a twist' has given fans a legitimate reason to wonder whether a retro-inspired jersey is coming.
On Friday, the Maple Leafs announced a slew of themed nights for the 2026-27 season which included a St. Patrick's Day clash with Tampa Bay on March 17, and the Next Gen Night which puts a spotlight on young athletes on December 21 vs. Washington.

But the team also added nine 'Remix Nights' that will be spread throughout the season, starting on November 7 against the Montreal Canadiens. While they haven't announced there will be a retro jersey being worn during those games - their post online mentions fans will 'go back in time with a twist.'
Toronto has the retro history to make jersey speculation reasonable but nothing is confirmed
The team is going hard on their 'Remix Nights' in November as they also have the same theme on November 14 vs. Edmonton, November 19 vs. Los Angeles, and November 30 vs. Philadelphia. They then have two in December against Anaheim (Dec. 13) and Tampa Bay (Dec. 19), one in January vs. St. Louis (Jan. 18), and two in February against Columbus (Feb. 8) and Carolina (Feb. 16).
Looking back at the history of the team, they have over 100 years of jersey designs and logos to choose from. The St. Pats are reserved for the Tampa game on March 17, but they could go with the 1967 design if they wanted to commemorate 60 years since their last Cup and as a motivator to win this season.
They could also try and hop on the younger fan nostalgia train and wear the 2000-2007 Sundin jerseys with the team using that Maple Leafs Gardens emblem that was so beloved as part of the lineage of the franchise.
One final option would be to replicate the same jerseys they used during the 2014 Winter Classic vs. Detroit where it was reminiscent of their 1930-34 design with multiple white stripes on the sleeve, but they may not want to double up given how many options they can choose from.
It very well might also not just be one jersey that the team wears, as they may decide to have multiple designs that reflect the franchise throughout history, and we could see one or several of these options play out. There's nothing official as of yet, and the team will likely give more information as we approach the first 'Remix Night'.
What Toronto has confirmed is enough to make the nine dates worth watching. “Remix Nights” are separate from the team's St. Pats game, six are scheduled before Christmas, and the club itself is advertising them around revisiting the past.
Whether that produces a new jersey remains unconfirmed, but Toronto has clearly made franchise history a recurring part of its 2026-27 home schedule.
