Emotions are already boiling over in Montreal tonight as former Hab Michael Pezzetta got into a fight with Lucas Condotta. The Toronto Maple Leafs enforcer is trying to make the NHL this season, and these kinds of fights are what is expected of him.

While we cannot show the fight on Hockey Patrol, we can guarantee it was a spirited tilt, and Pezzetta came away the winner. Unfortunately, that was the end of his night as he was promptly ejected.

Interestingly enough, just a few moments later, Teddy Blueger ended up coming through with a fight of his own. He is a new player that the Leafs signed in the offseason, and he too is looking to make an impression.

Maple Leafs send B team to Montreal

This is all happening in the B-team game in Montreal. This Leafs squad is playing against the Montreal Canadiens' stars, as well as a few prospects and fringe guys here and there.

Meanwhile, the Maple Leafs have their stars playing in Toronto right now, and the fans are certainly keeping tabs on the likes of Auston Matthews and Gavin McKenna.

However, the game in Montreal is expected to be scrappy as fringe Leafs players are looking to make an impression and prove why they deserve a spot on the roster.

While Blueger is likely to be on the roster come opening night, the same cannot be said for a guy like Pezzetta, who has spent much of the last few seasons in the AHL, with only a few NHL starts here and there.

Ultimately, this kind of grit from the Maple Leafs is going to go a long way, and there is no doubt that this will continue to make an impression on the coaching staff.

Unfortunately, for Pezzetta, he just won't be able to do anything else tonight, as he is completely out of the game.
