The Maple Leafs have made a few last-second lineup changes heading into their back-to-back against the lowly New York Rangers on Wednesday night.

On the second leg of a back-to-back and ready to build off their surpassingly dominant 4-2 win over the Boston Bruins, Craig Berube and the Maple Leafs are going to be making a few changes.

What the lineup changes tell you about where Berube's head is at for the final stretch

First, Calle Jarnkrok finds himself back in the lineup after being sat against Ottawa, though Berube initially noted there were more changes ahead.
Well, those changes just so happen to be Michael Pezzetta and Philippe Myers being taken out.
Berube is still making weird changes as we head into the end of the season, and it goes along with the other decisions like sitting Easton Cowan for a month and playing Jacob Quillan for maybe 10 minutes total all season it feels like.
New York is really struggling this year, however still being a threat considering they stomped the Maple Leafs 6-2 earlier on this season. That was a game that Joseph Woll did not look too good in, but for as solid as he's been lately he could turn it around.
One thing we can say is that Craig Berube loves Calle Jarnkrok for whatever reason. After starting off the season hot with three goals in the first three games, he fell off a cliff and has only registered 8 points in 47 games and a minus-9 rating.
He's not a terrible player but by golly he's taking up too much space especially with guys like Jacob Quillan and Bo Groulx kicking about. Thankfully, Jarnkrok is a free agent at the end of the season and he's likely headed back to Sweden for next year.
Pezzetta was brought in to add some fire, and it seems like they want to keep things at a simmer with the Rangers; meanwhile Myers has been a real wild card this year. At times he has looked competent, others show he should be out of a job.
Toronto is going to try and make sure they keep their personal momentum and pride at an all-time high after beating the Bruins, however if they show the same fire against the Rangers - it could ruin their draft chances so don't completely smoke them.
Whether or not these last minute changes make or break things though is a question we can only answer once the final buzzer sounds.
