Maple Leafs Announce Two Roster Demotions Following Trip to Sweden
The Maple Leafs went undefeated on their global series trip to Sweden.
Unfortunately, upon their return, two players have been demoted.
Today, it was announced that Bobby McMann and Simon Benoit would be sent down to the Marlies.
Two Promising Players in the Maple Leafs System
McMann, 27, has played thirteen games for the Leafs over the past two seasons. After finally breaking out of the ECHL last year, he has become a real NHL option for the team.
He is often brought up in trade rumours due to his league minimum salary and abrasive play style.
Benoit, 25, has played 142 NHL games between the Ducks and Maple Leafs, and is great depth to have. He will likely see a callup soon once
John Klingberg's fate is made official.
It will be interesting to see what the future holds for these two players.
