One player that we can all thank for that is William Nylander. After pouring in a 98-point campaign last season, his numbers have slightly dipped however given that he's playing more defensively; it's impressive nonetheless.
In all 77 games for the Maple Leafs this season, Nylander already has a career-high 44 goals, and if he gets on a roll could hit 50 by season's end. He;s also Toronto's clutch performer, with eight game-winning goals; tied only with fellow second-line teammate John Tavares.
William Nylander Has The Passion
It's clear that he's focused on winning, and all of his comments in recent days show that while his personal accolades are certainly something to be celebrated, the ultimate goal will always be to win the Stanley Cup.

A short clip on social media shows that recently, Nylander has had so much passion and isn't afraid to throw his superstar status aside in order to stick up for his team or play hard or gritty.
Not to mention last season where the forward had no qualms about calling out Mitch Marner in the playoffs either.
