Sheldon Keefe, the Toronto Maple Leafs head coach, commented on the viral bench interaction between his star players in last night's game against the Boston Bruins.

If you missed it, William Nylander, Mitch Marner and Auston Matthews had a heated exchange at the bench. The Leafs were trailing behind in the game, and players were starting to get tired of it.

Notably, Nylander even said Marner to "stop f***ing crying".

Today, in his media availability, Sheldon Keefe shared his thoughts on the altercation.

Here's his full declaration, per Lance Hornby:

"Keefe on the bench fracas: "I look at it as something that happens when things aren't going well. But in the past, they wouldn't have talked it out, or argued it out. I look at it as progress, them being pissed off they didn't deliver. I don't look at it as frustration."

Being pissed off and frustrated is the same thing. Keefe doesn't seem to see the problem and talks like a guy who wants to keep his job, not solving the issue.

The Leafs will face elimination tomorrow, in game 5, and it'll be up to Keefe to make sure he can motivate his men to win three straight games.
