Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Erik Karlsson recently linked up with former teammate Daniel Alfredsson amid Toronto Maple Leafs rumors.

Elliotte Friedman recently shared a prediction from someone he spoke with who connected Karlsson to Toronto through Mats Sundin and Daniel Alfredsson. Friedman himself made clear he was not reporting that a trade was imminent.
