Easton Cowan's Incredible 65-Game Point Streak Comes to an End
Toronto Maple Leafs top prospect Easton Cowan finally went pointless as his historic streak came to an unfortunate end against Peterborough on Friday night.
For 65 straight games, Maple Leafs prospect Easton Cowan has been able to put at least one point on the scoreboard, establishing a historic record that is going to be very hard to top; at least right away.
Cowan, 19, has 18 goals, 22 assists & 40 points in 30 games for the London Knights this season.
But on Friday night, his streak came to an unfortunate end as he failed to register a point in his team's 3-1 win over Peterborough.
So how exactly did Cowan feel after his point streak ended?
Easton Cowan's Historic Point Streak Ended: What's Next?
It's not an official record, as it dates back to last season, however it doesn't take away the incredible accomplishment of the young forward. He was always humble though regarding his streak however:
I haven't been thinking about it. Cowan told Pyette when asked about the streak. I just play the game. I hit the crossbar there (in the third period). Sometimes, they don't go your way. It ended and that's it.
He was also tasked with representing Canada at this year's World Juniors, however a weak showing caused a bit of criticism being unjustly heaved toward him.
What do you think? Will Easton Cowan's historic point streak make him a candidate to make the Maple Leafs next season?
