The Toronto Maple Leafs have made some huge changes this summer, and under Craig Berube there's been plenty more at the first practice of the year.

Yet again, 2024/25 is a season full of incredible expectations in Toronto, but over the off-season, they finally made some fantastic moves to bolster this roster, giving them their best chance in recent memory to make a push for the Stanley Cup. Now, in the first practice under new Head Coach Craig Berube, we are seeing plenty of different line options, starting with new acquisition Max Pacioretty, who appears to be playing with two of the team's most promising young names.

On top of that, the William Nylander experiment appears to be continuing, with the rising star reportedly centering a line with Max Domi and Calle Jarnkrok early in training camp in what could be a major sign of things to come.

In the third and final update from reporter Jonas Siegel of The Athletic, he reveals that Jake McCabe is on a pairing with Oliver Ekman-Larsson, despite sites such as Daily Faceoff predicting that he'll be on the third pair alongside Simon Benoit. It's still incredibly early in camp, and things will continue to change and develop over time, but these are some very intriguing looks early in training camp, showing that Craig Berube is making some very unique changes to the team.

Over the past few years under Sheldon Keefe, the team have continued trying things with little changes, but in his first training camp, Craig Berube is looking to make his mark on this roster, and with so much pressure on their shoulders to finally end their lengthy Stanley Cup, look for him to continue experimenting with this roster as the new season draws near.
