The Toronto Maple Leafs have completed a trade on Thursday morning, securing the services of the veteran defenseman Joel Edmundson.

This move is a smart one by Treliving, who got a Stanley Cup champion for only $875k.
A few minutes later, the organization announced that they've placed another player on the Long Term Injury Reserve, freeing even more cap space for potential deadline acquisitions.

Conor Timmins has been away from the team for a few weeks, dealing with mono.
The Leafs officially placed him on the LTIR, meaning he'll be sidelined for even more time.
