After last night's game, the reaction by Toronto Maple Leafs captain Auston Matthews to teammate Simon Benoit speaking French after scoring the game-winner has gone viral.
For all of the hype surrounding the first Battle of Ontario since 2004, the Ottawa Senators haven't made things easy on themselves.
The Toronto Maple Leafs now have a 3-0 lead in the series after last night's 3-2 overtime win at Canadian Tire Centre; defenseman Simon Benoit scoring the winner at 1:19 of overtime, his 1st career playoff goal and the second unlikely hero in as many games for the team.

Afterward, Benoit was seated next to captain Auston Matthews in the postgame presser; Matthews soon went viral for his reaction to Benoit answering a question in French, looking a bit taken aback by the speed and fluidity of the inquiry.
How far back would he have to go for a bigger goal during his career, Benoit was asked regarding his most important tallies and where this lines up:
Probably peewee or something....No, it's fine. I mean, in the playoffs, it's not always the same guys. It's fun when other guys get a good goal, because we know it's hard to score in the playoffs.
So, getting that goal was exciting, that's for sure.
Meanwhile, goaltender Anthony Stolarz praised Benoit, who he played with during their time in the Anaheim Ducks organization.
I played with him in San Diego and Anaheim for a few years so I got to know him extremely well. And when I signed here (last summer), just knowing who he was, the type of person he was, how he played, it's extremely exciting for him to be able to get that goal tonight.
The Maple Leafs have the chance to pick up the sweep against the Senators in Game 4 on Saturday night, just don't expect the animosity to end any time soon and expect Benoit to be a huge factor in the utter decimation of Ottawa in Round One.
