Today in a new interview Toronto Maple Leafs star Auston Matthews finally broke his silence regarding the trade rumors involving his teammate Mitch Marner.

The Toronto Maple Leafs failed to make it out of the first round of the 2024 Stanley Cup Playoffs after a loss to the Boston Bruins. After their elimination, the Toronto Maple Leafs and GM Brad Treliving hired a new head coach Craig Berube.

The hiring of Craig Berube led to many questions about the future of forward Mitch Marner. His defensive lapses and perceived lack of effort will not gel with the new bench boss leading to trade rumors.

Frank Seravalli triples down on his stance on the Mitch Marner situation:

«I firmly believe that the Toronto Maple Leafs are going to do everything in their power to move him.»

After months of speculation surrounding this topic Maple Leafs superstar Auston Matthews has finally made his feelings known.
