Sheldon Keefe Reveals What He Thinks Went Wrong in Game One
While it's only the first game, game 1 against the Florida Panthers didn't turn out the way the Toronto Maple Leafs were hoping. Toronto put up a fight, but ended up losing the first game of the second round series 4-2 at home.
Keefe Reveals His Thoughts
Following the match, Leafs coach Sheldon Keefe was asked what he thought went wrong for the team. He kept it very simple, referring to Florida being much faster than Tampa Bay, Toronto's first round opponent.
"It was a step quicker than it was in the previous series, and that caught us."
Keefe will certainly be hoping for more jump from his players in game 2 on Thursday. Losing the first two games at home could be the start of a disaster for Toronto, and something both players and fans are hoping to avoid.
