Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Ilya Samsonov has left the team to be with his wife, as the couple are expecting the birth of their first child in the coming days. There's no exact date for his return at this time.
Maple Leafs About to Gain Another Fan
The 26-year old goaltender is expecting the birth of his first child, and has returned home to Toronto to be with his wife Maria. The couple have been married since before Samsonov made the move to North America, and becoming parents is surely a huge achievement for them.
